UriSponge™

UriSponge™ is a urine sample collection, transport and preservation device designed as a simple and standardised alternative to traditional urine sample containers.

The absorbent sponge collects up to 2.5ml of urine, helping maintain the optimal urine-to-preservative ratio without the need for a fill line. This helps reduce collection errors and the risk of sample rejection.

The compact, leak-proof design eliminates the need to transfer urine into additional tubes, making sample handling easier and safer. UriSponge™ uses a boric acid-free preservative formulation to help maintain specimen stability for up to 48 hours at room temperature or under refrigerated conditions.

Samples can be processed using standard urine culture procedures through manual or automated workflows, including WASP®.
